THE CORRESPONDENCE CIRCLE
The Correspondence Circle was founded soon after the Quatuor Coronati Lodge was consecrated in 1886.
- It is administered by Q.C. Correspondence Circle Limited. A company consisting of all the full members of the Lodge with an elected Governing Council. The members of the Correspondence Circle are associate members of this company which is limited by guarantee.
- Individual membership of the Circle is open to all Master Masons in good standing under the United Grand Lodge of England or other Grand Lodges in amity with it.
- Corporate membership is open to Lodges, Chapters, Study Circles, Libraries and all other regular Masonic bodies.
- The joining fee for both Individual and Corporate membership is £5 (US$12) for the soft bound and £6 (US$15) for the hard bound volume.
- Every new member will receives a complimentary copy of a past volume of the Transactions and the initial subscription paid with the joining fee will also entitle them to the next volume to be published.
- The current annual subscription rates are shown on the application form, any future increase will be notified to members in good time. Annual subscriptions become due on the 1st November each year and can be paid either by direct debit, to one of our Local Secretaries or directly to this office. In the latter case payment can be by Sterling cheque drawn on a UK bank, US$ cheque drawn on a USA bank or by any major credit/debit cards.

- Membership starts from the date of the first Lodge meeting following receipt of your application.
We would recommend that Lodges and Chapters who become corporate members of the Circle include the following notice in their summons.

All Master Masons can take advantage of a unique opportunity to learn about the origin and development of the Craft by attending the meetings of this Lodge. They will hear fascinating research papers delivered by leading Masonic historians and be able to discuss them. Masonic regalia and books can also be purchased from the Correspondence Circle.

PRIVILEGES OF MEMBERSHIP
Circle members enjoy the same privileges as members of the Quatuor Coronati Lodge, except the right to vote or to hold office in the Lodge or Company. In particular :-
- to receive the annual volume of the Lodge Transactions Ars Quatuor Coronatorum. This volume is circulated exclusively to members (corporate members only receive one copy). It contains the lectures of the year and notes of the discussions that followed them, as well as other Masonic papers and information which can be adapted for use at Masonic meetings
- to receive in advance the Lodge Summonses, attend the Quatuor Coronati Lodge meetings, participate in the discussions that follow lectures and dine afterwards if you wish (dining fees collected on the night). The regular meeting dates are the 3rd Thursday in February, the 2nd Thursdays in May, September and November (Installation), and the 4th Thursday in June.
- to participate in valuable and constructive activities as associates of the Premier Lodge of Masonic Research. Circle members can also submit questions on Masonic history, custom etc. and the Secretary will whenever possible arrange for authoritative replies.
- to purchase a wide selection of Masonic publications and regalia at special discounted prices, including QCCC's own publications and research papers.
THE ANNUAL TRANSACTIONS
These volumes represent the work of the Quatuor Coronati Lodge since 1886 and form an incomparable Masonic resource. They contain the deliberations of many celebrated students in the field of Masonic study and research, so are of inestimable value for all who seek to make daily advancement in their Masonic knowledge.
A number of the early volumes are available for purchase by members in hard copy or CD; also articles can be copied from any volume at a small administrative charge.
OTHER PUBLICATIONS
The company publishes a number of Masonic reference books and also stocks a range of key Masonic works which are available for purchase by members.
LECTURERS
Whenever possible we will endeavour to supply speakers for meetings, no fee is involved but travel and if necessary overnight accommodation must be arranged. Please contact the Secretary for details but remember to provide the maximum possible notice. If a speaker is not available members are recommended to make use of the published works of the Quatuor Coronati Lodge to stimulate discussion in their Lodge but the QC Lodge Secretaries' permission must be obtained before any material is reproduced.
PAPERS
Papers, Notes and Queries from members of the Circle are welcomed.
Papers must necessarily be of a requisite standard if they are to be considered for publication, guidance and advice on such matters will be readily given.
